Hard vs. soft water
Hard water leaves behind harmful mineral deposits that leaves unsightly water spots and lime scale. Over time these minerals can permanently damage finishes such as gelcoat, metal, plastic, glass, eisenglass and more. Hard water will also take a toll on plumbing, fixtures and onboard appliances.
WET SPOT soft water washdown removes the calcium and magnesium from hard water, making it “soft”. For washdown soft water is extremely beneficial as it allows soap to lather more effectively and provides a cleaner final rinse, reducing the need to chamois / detail etc. Onboard, softwater is better for your skin and hair and is preferable when used for cooking or beverages etc.
